Accelerated ADN to MSN program

The Department of Nursing at California State University, Fullerton, attracts motivated and capable nurses committed to improving professional nursing and health care through clinical practice, health education, leadership and management. This program is specifically designed for registered nurses wishing to advance their career through an accelerated program of study combining undergraduate (BSN) and graduate (MSN) level courses leading ultimately to a Master of Science in Nursing degree, and including eligibility for certification in public health through the State of California. We facilitate and support educational mobility and leadership abilities for nurses who have a foundation in the profession that was obtained through an associate degree or diploma program. While the program normally entails nine semesters of full-time study, courses are offered as well to allow part-time study for working nurses. The MSN program is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of Nursing Education (CCNE).

The demand for professionally educated nurses is increasing to meet the needs of a more complex and changing health care system. The purpose of the ADN to MSN program is to provide registered nurses with the additional knowledge, skills and experience necessary to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s nursing professional. The program is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaborative skills and independent functioning within a focused specialty area, called an MSN concentration. At this time, the Department's accelerated ADN to MSN Program is designed for students wishing to pursue a master’s in administration.
