BSN OBJECTIVE

Upon completion of the BSN program, the student will be able to:
-
Demonstrate nursing practice where interventions are based on theory, research,
and standards of professional practice.

Participate in identifying diverse societal health needs, critiquing and improving
the delivery and quality of health care and nursing practice.

Collaborate with clients and the interdisciplinary team to provide, facilitate,
and coordinate culturally competent care that promotes health and prevents disease
in a global community.

Utilize leadership and management skills to identify and meet health needs of individuals,
families, groups, and communities in the healthcare system.

Utilize communication theories and techniques in developing effective relationships
with clients and health care team members.

Demonstrate competence required to retrieve, evaluate, and communicate information
relevant to an evidence-based nursing practice.

Demonstrate continued commitment to lifelong learning to promote personal and professional
growth.
