Mission Statement |

|
The purpose of the Nursing Students Association (NSA) is to support and encourage
all nursing students. Our membership includes pre-nursing, undergraduate and graduate
nursing students. NSA creates opportunities forour members to meet and network with
one another in social events, fundraising and outreach activities.
Are you a current or future nursing student at Cal State Fullerton or are you interested
in finding out more about the nursing profession? If you are, then the Nursing Student
Association (NSA) is for you! NSA was founded by Austin Nation, a current RN-BSN
student, just this past year! So, to say the least, we are a fairly new club here
on campus, but are affiliated and recognized by the National Student Nursing Association,
the only recognized student nursing society! The officers are all dedicated to making
your college experience full of rewarding opportunities during your stay at CSUF.
We encourage you to join us for meetings and events so as to give yourself a voice
in this newly formed club! As part of the NSA you will be able to share your experiences
with your fellow nursing students and be provided with help and encouragement in
your studies as you develop your leadership skills. This past semester we began
our new mentor program called Big Siblings, which matches new students to a current
nursing student. The mentors help provide help and support for studying some of
the harder concepts. It has been a great success! This semester we will implementing
a new meeting schedule to try and accommodate as many schedules as possible. We
will keep you updated! NSA is also about fun and giving back to the community! We
hold many volunteer and fundraising activities throughout the semester, as well
as an end of the year banquet. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
