Do you already have a BA or BS degree but are interested in become a RN?
The Entry-level MSN (EL-MSN) option is designed for students with an undergraduate
degree in a field other than nursing. This degree option provides the coursework
and clinical experiences needed to qualify students for Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
and also awards a MSN.
Requirements for Admission to the University:
Admission to the EL-MSN program is a two step process.
First complete the California State University Graduate Application:
To do this online, go to
http://www.csumentor.edu.
Select Nursing (EL-MSN/Entry-Level Accelerated Program) as your Major/Program objective.
Please include the registration confirmation page in your Nursing Application packet.
Submit one set of official transcripts from every institution you have attended
to Admissions and Records.
Requirements for Admission to the Department of Nursing:
The second step in the process requires an application to the Department of Nursing
for review/selection as an EL-MSN applicant.
The DEPARTMENT
OF NURSING APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE ONLINE OCTOBER 1st THROUGH NOVEMBER 30th
at
http://nursing.fullerton.edu.
All applicants to the EL-MSN program must complete the following pre-requisites
prior to admission: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Microbiology, Chemistry: Inorganic,
Organic and Biochemistry, English: Beginning College Writing, Introduction to Psychology,
Speech Communications, Statistics, and either Introduction to Sociology or Introduction
to Cultural Anthropology. To check science and statistics course equivalencies,

All EL-MSN applicants are required to attend an information session that will provide
more information about the application process, pre-requisite coursework, and will
also provide an opportunity for you to ask questions.

dates and locations are indicated below. All information sessions will be conducted
in the Pollak Library (PLS-360). Additional information sessions will be
available in fall with dates and times being posted on this website at the end of
summer. Please e-mail ihernandez@fullerton.edu with the information session (date)
you would like to attend and you will receive back a confirmation message.
