The endowment was given to California State University, Fullerton, Department of Nursing in January 1998. Following community and nursing leadership input, criteria were developed and approved, and the nomination process was opened to the community. The scholarship fund is open to student nominations from community based nurse leaders. Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 24, 2009 (to be considered for an award the following Fall se-mester)..
