Selection Process

All applicants who are California residents, and apply through Cal State Apply during the application period, to the correct Nursing major, will be reviewed for admission. Admission will be offered to the top applicants, based on the criteria below.

COMPLETION OF REQUIRED HIGH SCHOOL COURSES

COMPLETION OF HIGH SCHOOL CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY

Complete these courses each with a grade of “B” or higher (if AP then “C” or higher) by end of junior year in high school (11 grade).

COMPLETION OF EITHER THE SAT OR ACT EXAM

The minimum eligibility index for the program is: 4500 (SAT) or 1082 (ACT). The eligibility index is the combination of test scores and grade point averages.
