Jump Start Eligibility

To be eligible to take the summer BSN course(s), you must meet the following criteria:

Complete at least 1 semester of your ADN program by the summer of intended enrollment. 
Graduating ADN students (May/June 2017) can only participate if they have already submitted a Fall 2017 CSUF and an RN-BSN Nursing application

Achieve a minimum 3.0 grade point average on the University and Nursing prerequisite requirements. 
(We anticipate that the courses will be impacted. If we receive more applicants than we can accommodate, competitive GPA points will be used to rank applicants)

Currently enrolled and in good standing in the ADN program at one of CSUF’s partner community colleges:

Cerritos College

Chaffey College

Citrus College

Cypress College

Golden West College

Glendale Community College

Long Beach City College

Mt. San Antonio College

Riverside City College

Saddleback College

Santa Ana College

All prerequisite courses for the University and Nursing must be completed by the application period with a "C" or higher: 

  • Oral Communication (CSU, A.1)
  • Written Communication (CSU, A.2)
  • Critical Thinking (CSU, A.3)
  • College Level Math (CSU, B.4)
  • Human Anatomy, with lab
  • Human Physiology, with lab
  • Microbiology, with lab
  • Chemistry (intro or general is acceptable)
  • Statistics (CSU B4 certified course or CSUF Nursing approved course)
