Traditional BSN (CSUF Student Pathway) Admission Requirements
STARTING FOR THE FALL 2015 APPLICATION CYCLE, THE HESI EXAM IS NO LONGER A REQUIREMENT FOR ADMISSION.
Currently enrolled as a CSUF undergraduate student
Applicants to the School of Nursing's Traditional BSN: CSUF Student Pathway, must be a CSUF student at the time of application to the School of Nursing. This means that you must complete a CSUMentor application and be enrolled at CSUF the spring semester in which you apply to the School of Nursing's BSN program. Any major is allowed to apply. Transfer students must follow the process for transferring to CSUF and must also select a non-nursing major to transfer into. PLEASE NOTE: This pathway will only accept around 5-10 students each year.
All prerequisite courses must be completed with a minimum overall GPA of 3.25. You must earn a “B-” or better in each science prerequisite course to be admitted. You must earn a "C" or better in all non-science prerequisite courses. (A “C-” is not acceptable in any separate course). There is no recency on courses. Only one repeat is allowed for one science prerequisite course.
