Jump Start Option Admission Requirements

Applicants will only be considered if they have met all of the following requirements:

Enrolled in an Associate Degree in Nursing Program

Complete at least 1 semester of an ADN program prior to starting Jump Start. Applicants can be in-progress with the first semester during the application period.

Graduating fourth semester ADN students (May or June) are encouraged to also complete a Fall application for the RN-BSN program. The Fall RN-BSN application is available from October 1 to November 30 through Cal State Apply.

Minimum Grade Point Average

Achieve a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Good Academic Standing

Currently in good academic standing in a regionally accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program in California.

Prerequisite Requirement

All prerequisite courses for the University and the School of Nursing must be completed with a "C" or higher.

An applicant cannot be in-progress with a prerequisite during the spring semester of the application period.
