MSN Nursing Leadership Application Process

University Application

The Fall 2025 application will be available beginning October 1, 2024 online through Cal State Apply.

The online Cal State Apply application will require the following:

  • Completion of online application form which will ask for bio/demographic information and details about your previous education.
  • Names and contact information, including email address, for three references who are registered nurses. These references will receive an email with directions to complete the recommendation.
  • Statement of Purpose - in 500 words or less describe your preparation and reason(s) for pursuing graduate study in Nursing Leadership at CSUF.
  • Current resume detailing all education and nursing work experience.
  • Individual unofficial transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
  • Application fee paid online when submitting the application.

Application Guide: The Cal State Apply Guide for MSN Leadership Applicants will assist you in completing the university application. Please review prior to starting your application.

Official Transcripts Requirement

After completing the online application, you must submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended.

Transcripts must be submitted directly to CSUF Admissions by the application deadline.

Electronic transcripts are preferred. Review the Admissions website for instructions.

Application Deadlines

The Fall 2025 priority application deadline is February 1, 2025. Applications received after February 1, 2025 will be considered on a space available basis. The final application deadline is June 1, 2025.

The following items must be submitted by the application deadline:

  • Online application, including all recommendations submitted
  • University application fee
  • Official electronic transcripts to CSUF Admissions
